#1 Rich Dad, Poor Dad
Rich Dad Poor Pad is one of the best books ever written to help you to reframe your mindset for financial success. As Henry Ford once said, “If you think you can, or you think you can’t – in most cases you’re probably right.” This highly readable book is told in an allegory format, and allows you to see two different people, one educated and one uneducated, but business-savvy. You see the results of the two mindsets.
#2 The Real Estate Game
The Real Estate Game is a wonderful book which helps you understand leverage, acquiring properties, selling, tax- free exchanges and growing wealth through the use of real estate.
#3 The Happiness Advantage
The Happiness Advantage is written by a professor from my alma mater who explains why happiness is an advantage in business, life, family and calling. Be a happy person with a positive outlook and see how your life changes. Importantly, author Shawn Achor offers practical ways to obtain happiness. He explains the reasons for massive depression among college students and professionals, and provides insights for overcoming those impediments to happiness.
#4 Think and Grow Rich
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is a classic which was first published in 1912. Most leaders who have experienced any level of financial success point to this book as a critical asset for their personal strategy of success.
#5 Zero to One
Zero to One is a masterclass for start-ups. I have seen many books on the subject, but author Peter Thiel accurately presents a winning strategy on how to start with almost nothing and create a business plan, going from “zero to one.”
